£65.00

The amazingly talented Cathy Emmott of Dear Emma Designs is teaching us how to create this gorgeous ‘embroidery in a hoop’ using free motion machine embroidery. Cathy taught me this technique a while ago and I have to tell you she makes it feel so do able. She’s such a patient and kind teacher.
Everything you’ll need to do this workshop will be provided. All you need to bring is your sewing machine. Please see Cathy’s attached notes about that and also my general information about coming to a workshop here at the Craft Room which covers food, travel, accommodation and general Terms and Conditions x

Cathy’s Notes.

“Posy In A Pot” Made using free-motion machine embroidery and raw edge applique and presented in an 8” hoop.

Workshop schedule

I will demonstrate everything you need to know about free-motion machine embroidery and raw edge applique. We’ll work together on a pre-prepared practice piece and I’ll help you design and stitch your own posy in a pot. You’ll be so pleased with your little work of art, all ready to hang in your home.

Minimum materials and equipment requirements for each student.

Sewing machine. All students must provide their own, fully functioning sewing machine capable of free motion machine embroidery, including the appropriate darning foot. Please note: A darning foot does not usually come as standard with your machine and often has to be bought separately.

I will not be able to mend or assist in mending any faulty sewing machines. This is the responsibility of the individual student.

Please ensure that you practiced free-motion on your own sewing machine to be confident that it will be suitable for this workshop.
